Well-I thought I would catch everyone up on things. We will just go back to December! On Christmas Eve, two of my nephews got lost snowmobiling and weren't found until early Christmas morning. They were fine-some frostbite, and fear of dark, cold and being alone!! We were very blessed that they were found, and ok. Shortly after Christmas, my first husband's father passed away. It was a devastating loss for my boys and me. We will miss him. Then, New Years Eve, Ashton's wife (of four months) told him that she had a boyfriend who she was in love with, and she thought she wanted to marry him. She left her rings, and moved out the next day. she filed for divorce the following week. The divorce has been final for a couple of weeks. It was an extremely painful time for all of us. It is so hard to watch your child go through something like that. We now think of it as a blessing (who wants someone like that with your son for all eternity?) I think it will be quite awhile before Ashton sees it that way, though he is really doing pretty good considering all of it. Other than all of that-we have had basketball, basketball, and more basketball. Chad has been playing on the varsity team-we just got home from state this past Saturday. They lost their second game-which was pretty unexpected and quite disappointing. We are glad that it is over-but really wish that it had gone differently. Nathan tried out for the seventh grade team and didn't make it-which was quite devastating. He really practiced a lot and wanted it very badly. He seems to be recovering-playing on a little city team-
Between all of those things, we have had some enjoyment-mostly spending time with each other-Nathan, Kaylee, and Lacie Jo are still a blast to be around and very fun! I am hoping that any other things I post here are only fun, good things! With a year that started like this one it should only get better!!
